Your KOM Concierge

Strava only shows you KOMs for public activities. KOMcierge checks in the background whether one of your private or followers-only activities would rank in a segment's Top 10 – before you ever publish it.

KOMcierge requests read access to your activities (including private ones), read access to your profile – asked for so it can list your bikes and shoes, which is all it reads from there – plus permission to add a short credit note to an activity's description when it privately discovers a KOM on it; you can decline that specific permission on the next screen. Nothing else is ever changed without your involvement.
